Social Workers are considered "provisionally registered" with the ACSW until they have completed 1500 hours of supervised practice. Your practicum hours can be credited towards the 1500 total if (a) a Registered Social Worker supervised your practicum with the ACSW and (b) the practicum was completed within five years of your application to become a Registered Social Worker. For any outstanding supervision hours, a Provisionally Registered Social Worker must be supervised by a RSW.
